What Is Twitter Anyway?

Twitter is a free social networking service that allows family and friends to stay connected through reall-time updates that answer the question: 'What are you doing?' Updates to Twitter are called tweets and are confined to 140 characters. Twitter can be used online and can also be synced to your phone for easy updates on the go.
Twitter is free via the internet, but using SMS (Short Message Service) for phone updates may incur service provider fees, depending on your phone plan.

The first step is to create your own Twitter profile. You can make updates to your own profile page and connect to other attendees by following their pages and allowing them to follow yours.

Our Twitter Groups are monitored regularly and we ask that all participants observe our guidelines. Please report any inappropriate content, language, or negative comments.
